I never said it had to be cheaper. What I tried to convey was it had better perform at least as well for such a hefty MSRP. And yes, STi and M3 is apples and oranges. GT-R and 911 Turbo however are about the closest rivals either car can possibly have apart from maybe 911 Turbo vs GT3.

The GT-R has been faster than the 911 Turbo in every single test done with the cars.
