Spy Shots/Video: Camaro SS spotted on winding mountain road

click the picture above to see the video
The Ponycar Industrial Complex has been in full reconaissance mode and scanning the universe for Camaros, and agents have located a Camaro SS on a winding mountain road. It's deliciously ironic that the spotters were rolling a Mustang when they were strafed by a bestriped mule in white. It looks good out in the wild, intimidating, even – quite appropriate for a small, vicious animal that eats Mustangs. Check the video after the jump. Thanks for the tip, Max!

Dan,
Just what is a "..small, VISCOUS animal that eats Mustangs."??
Is it an animal of glutinous nature or consistency?
Is it sticky?
Is it thick?
Is it an adhesive?
Has the property of viscosity?
;-)

Well, it's what's left of the furry thing after one of those big rims rolls over it, of course!
Freudian typo - fixed!

Nice to see shots of the Camaro with other vehicles as a frame of reference. That thing is wiiide.
I can't wait to take a spin in one of these, but I have no idea how GM is going to keep the buzz going for another ~6 months. By then, we'll probably be seeing "spy shots" of Camaros leaping burning bridges and cop barricades. Or something.
PS - fluids are "viscous," animals are "vicious."

Maybe he thought it was a Jellyfish! :)

Ugh I don't want to see that.... I have a fluid mechanics test I should be studying for right now.

Yep, that's right. Brand new right off the lot. Just bought it today.

That road is the Apache Trail/Hwy 88 just east of the Phoenix metro area. It's one of the roughest but most beautiful roads in the entire nation. Over half of it is single lane, rutted dirt and gravel road carved out the side of a canyon going along the Salt River. If your car never rattled or squeaked before it will when you drive it on the Apache Trail. GM must be using it to fine tune the Camaro's body and interior integrity.

"why would they bring a brand new Camaro here?"....says the man sitting in a rather new Mustang.

Drooooool. Do want.
Are those vents on the front fenders, for the brakes, or is that just zebra body cladding to hide the car's lines? Also, I'm growing more and more used to and perhaps excited by the idea of a camaro with a high power turbo four or six. Is that ok? This isn't my father's camaro, after all.

I believe the black in front of the wheels is the "SS Stripe Package" a post a little while back that showed the aftermarket stuff for the Camaro had a shot of that, looks similar.

The only thing this car will be eating from Ford is snake exhaust. Woh boy I can't wait for the years of people saying how the SS stomps the entry level Mustang GT (just like the old f-body SS). Its $40K you clowns, and still will be slower than a GT500 in its own REAL price bracket! Then there's the fact that the GT500 is a race proven sportscar design. Camaro is heavy and underpowered. I could go on all day...

Yah, eats Mustangs, sure. Don't Forget there will be an early release Mustang for 2010 along with a requisite power boost. Oh and the Mustang is 400-500 lbs. lighter than the upcoming Camaro. It's a good Looking Car though.

Beautiful Ford Ranger 4x4 extended cab. That truck is made for fun, and I'm quite jealous of the guy who gets to drive it on a mountain road like that. Thanks for the cool video!
Was there another car in the picture?
