Nissan teases production Intima ahead of Beijing show

Nissan's presence at the Beijing Motor Show (or 2008 Auto China, if you're kicking it new school) will apparently be marked with the unveiling of the production version of the Intima sedan, originally shown in concept form at last year's Tokyo Motor Show. The teaser above lends credence to spy photos procured by Autoblog Chinese that showed the coupe-ish sedan partially uncovered on its way to or from a photo shoot. The Intima will be positioned as a new flagship model for Nissan in China, but surprisingly, it doesn't carry the same forked headlamp arrangement that originally made its debut on the 2009 Maxima and is expected to infect the rest of Nissan's lineup in years to come.

it'll be a sad day when the Altima Coupe gets an ugly redesign.

Last years concept of this car reminds me of Prius coupled with a Jaguar concept.
I can only hope the end result is somthing with more style then the old Q45.
Not that any of the cars I mentioned are bad at all, just not flagship material.

Is the Production Intima coming to USA, or is it set for other territories only?

@ Michael D,
I wish I could tell you. I really liked the first two generations of the Q45 and I hear that Nissan is bringing a Q45 replacement to North America again.
However this may not be it.

The intima is just the new teana ( JDM maxima), it has nothin to do with the Q45 (cima) thats still in production in Japan.

yepp it's sad nissan is going ugly. they seemed to be doing just fine not too long ago. anyway, the intima is going to be the new teana in japan. it is basically the same car as the maxima in US. it is, however, not touted as a sporty model under the teana name. other names include cefiro, the name under which it is sold in singapore.
