All of the above comparisons would be true were it not for the fact that Ferrari's most expensive car (track-only specials excluded) was released 10 years later and at 3/4 of the price of the McLaren, Aston's cheapest car is more expensive than Maserati's top model, and that the same is true for the Jaguar/Alfa comparison: Alfa's 8C is a 500-run one-off, everything else they make is at or below the X-Type in price. There's a case to be made for Ferrari/McLaren, but the others are, and have always been, way off.

Dear Nim,
Sorry for my English first.
Just a little reminder of the forces in presence.
1. Ferrari is at the top of automotive industry.
2. Aston V8 is cheaper than Granturismo.
All Aston look the same .
Have you heard of MC12? I think they sold
them at $ 1 million piece.
3. Alfa Romeo may be a generalist, but to see a
Jaguar station wagon with a 136 bhp diesel...?
(Ask for the price....)
4. Ah, I forgot one little thing... All the Italian
brands here, are still Italian....
5. To whoom belongs Jag, Aston, Land Rover,
Mini?
6. When you think that Britain was number one
producer and exporter before WWI, and now
they have disappeared....
7. Alfa IS coming back. Give them 3 years, and
you'll remember these lines.
8. If a car does not make your hart beats faster,
the do not bother... Thank God there are still
the Italians for that.
Thank you for listening
