Accord V6 coupe EX-L is 37 pounds less than a Mustang GT deluxe. Although, a lighter car can often feel heavier - typically due to unsprung weight. If I have two rows of seats, I want two rows of doors. There's nothing fun about climbing out of a coupe's rear seat, or trying to fit a child into one. Coupes (especially luxury and touring ones like this or the Europeans) are an empty-nester's vehicle.

What's unfortunate is that the six-speed is only available with the coupe. It's moot for me (I'd prefer a hatch, wagon or small crossover) but it'd be nice to have the more practical bodystyle with the more interesting powertrain.

psarhjinian

Comments on In The Autoblog Garage: 2008 Honda Accord Coupe

If you like wagons with lively powertrains, you might want to check out Saabs and Subarus. It's a nice car, but it's also costly to keep. Subaru's another option, but I don't really need or want the extra mass and inefficiency of AWD.
