I think that is why turbos are popular.
You have the power when you need it (high RPM)
but when cruising, the turbo isn't pushing much boost, and the engine gets similar economy of an N/A version.
my 50cc scooter gets about the same economy as my fathers 250cc bike. my scooter is ALWAYS at full throttle. my dad's can just cruise at low RPMS.
