GM is the master of lightweight V8s.
Where else in the world can you find a 505hp 7.0L V8, that weights under 500 lbs and revs to 7000 rpm?
If the M3 had that engine it'll dominate the compact sport sedan category for years to come.

I agree and believe me I'm a huge fan of the ls v8's, but I'm pretty sure BMW will NEVER make a pushrod v8, because the average luxury/performance car buyer does not like the name pushrod when compared to dohc.
hmm, ls3 M3 swap....
