Did they pick up a couple of bums to drive those cars? the RSR was pegged against the rev limiter for like 100ft...

Bryce Miller was driving the GT3. He was third in points standings in the 2007 Rolex Grand Am series driving that very car. So, the answer to your question would be no. It was 30 degrees and the tires were freezing cold, making traction near impossible.
