A Ferrari motorcycle? Only in our 1:12 scale dreams

There are plenty of awe-inspiring Italian motorcycles for us to dream about, but still, a Ferrari motorcycle would surely be a welcome addition to the sportbike ranks. Just what might a superbike designed by Ferrari look like? We can imagine a carbon fiber frame for starters, and surely there would need to be plenty of red bodywork. As a matter of fact, we think that a Ferrari motorcycle would look quite a bit like the scale model you see above. Scale Auto Magazine member andybmw7272 started of his project with a Yamaha kit from Tamiya, but everything has been modified to suit the project. We're sure you'll agree that it was extremely well done, and it gives us something to think about should Maranello ever decide to venture into the two-wheeled market.

C'mon guys, this is pretty cool stuff. It's "only" a model. It's a great way that talented/artistic people can build fantasy stuff that's not gonna happen in real life, or build something that you won't own in 1:1 scale. Or perhaps build a replica of a 1:1 that nobody else can buy. Seems like a few of the commenters have no imagination or maybe woke up grumpy. People like us build for fun; I'm also on the linked Scale Auto model forum and I write articles for Scale Auto from time to time.
I know Andy and have contacted him so he can possibly comment here. The model is flat out amazing in person. You should see the super-detailed Solar Direct FXX replica that he's working on currently:

Nice but I picture a Ferrari in a tubular frame, Ducati style...oh wait, Ducati IS the Ferrari of the two wheeled world...never mind.

Ferrari and tubular frame: The actual FXX is not tubular though. The bike is made after the car, not a Ducati.
I am glad to see people are as passionate about this, in positive ways and negative ways, as I was when building it!

@Andy: I am honored to have you respond. I agree on the FXX. But that shouldn't take away from the awesome job you did.
