Tuner's Delight: Photochopping the Hyundai Genesis Coupe
The buzz surrounding the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe doesn't seem to be waning. We gave you video B-roll, a paper cut-out, and New York Auto Show coverage. Now, we are bringing you unofficial "photochopped" coverage as enthusiasts take the press images and have some fun customizing them.
Take a look at the four nicely done images in the gallery (flat black with light window tint really looks stealth!), and see if you can come up with your own version to add to the mix (we'll upload the stand-outs to our gallery). Realizing the 2.0-liter turbocharged four is begging for mods, what else are you planning to do to your Genesis? Engine tuning, suspension, electronics? We're betting the aftermarket is gearing up already for this all-new rear-wheel-drive coupe. Thanks for the tip, Dave!

We just gotta see more work done on this than colors and wheels.
Where's the carbon hood and a fascia that would make this thing legit?

It's still a Hyundai.

'It's still a Hyundai.'
This statement is so old, lame and ignorant. So 90's! Dude, grow a set, read an objective review on one of their cars or go drive one.
Simply stupid.

thats what i thought. and what a bad picture to even use for this.
i think those poll results are a bit biased too, since engadget cant stop talking about the genesis, when there were 1000 other vehicles id rather see more and hear more obsession about.....

so again, how much is hyundai paying AOL (autoblog owners) for this kind of [lame] expsoure?!
If autoblog keeps posting crap like this, I'm going to stop reading. So much for an un-biased blog....
Look, the coupe is cool and all, but this isn't news worthy, its MONEY WORTHY so that the Hyundai execs can type "Genesis" in the Autoblog search and find TONS of articles and see their money is well spent. The photoshops don't even have reflections!
LAME

Ugly and pointless Competitor to Evo's and STI's??? I don't think so... not Even a Mustang, and they say the want to compete also with the G37? HAHAHAHA Ridiculous

hmmm... I'm seriously considering getting one of these.... just what I've been looking for. But after looking at the tiburon reviews throughout the last 5 years or so....

I'm reconsidering. Maybe it's better to pay 10k more and get the real thing (G37) instead of a headache....

If you want a real sport coupe get the G37 or 350Z. people drive a hyundai because they have to, not because they want to.

Not necessarily true. Some people buy Hyundais because they WANT to save money, not because they have to. But I would agree that the G37 and 350Z are REAL sports cars...

Even, I could do better photoshops than that...

Photoshop a big wing, Asian character window stickers, brand name parts stickers on the doors, Autozone gauges, some pointless club web address on the windshield, and fart cans out back and that's how this car will look in real life on the streets.

Hyundai says a 5.7 second 0-60 for the V6, which means 6.0 is the best most people will attain. How is this supposed to compete with a BMW 3-Series c, G37, 350Z, Pontiac GTO, Ford Mustang, etc.? More like competing with the Honda Accord, Toyota Solara. I realize that the grand touring market is much bigger, so it makes sense for Hyundai to go into it. Too bad it's not nearly as exciting as people are hoping it will be, though. I'm sure they'll take tons of sales from the Accord with this Genesis's styling and people's psychological desire for RWD.
