Seems people haven't had enough of the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe yet. We gave you all the official details and photos, action shots of both the V6- and turbo-four versions doing burnouts inside the Jacob Javits Center, and finally video of said tire torturing session. Hyundai has just released its own B-roll video of the Genesis Coupe that's meant for local news stations and the like reporting on the rear-wheel-drive coupe from South Korea. We snagged it too, and you can view beautiful panning shots of the car's exterior, as well as the first motion picture show of the Genesis Coupe driving on the road. Peep the video after the jump.

Looks a lot like the current IS250/IS350... when viewed on the low-resolution video.

It looks alright for a Hyundai but there are better cars out there for the money.

I thought it was an Infinity G37 at first glance...

I know everyone hates it but I like the front end

I don't think its ugly--the center grille needs to be a bit bigger. The current size looks like it came off some Hyundai sedan.

Yeah, that wouldn't hurt but I still kinda like it just the way it is. But like the others said if ppl hate it that bad I'm sure some tuner will come out w/ a kit or something. To each their own I reckon. =)

Yeah yeah more more!
It sucks that I have to wait until 2009 to drive this puppy. I'm thinking they're going to make lots of tweaks and improvements until then. Why would they release it this early and then take so long to release it into the market? grrr.

Hey guys we have a new forum set up

Genesis Coupe- to answer your question they still haven't finished a lot of testing on the engines yet. So they are still doing refinements and what not to the cars.
Come late summer we should hopefully have a car to test and review :) And then in Feb the cars should be hitting dealerships

A Korean "Supra"...I like that notion!
Priced it right, and I'd be all over it...(just like Korean BBQ)! :D

Btw, I have a feeling this platform would probably spawn the next Sonata...as a RWD incarnate.

If I were in the market for a car like this I would wait a year or two for them to work the bugs out. It's never a good idea to buy a new model car in its first year. Manufactures count on the public to do their benchwork testing for them so they can improve the car. What's with the Genesis name? Seems that should be the name of the chassis platform and a poor choice for a car name. Sounds weird to me and I don't think I would want to live with the name even if it's a good car. Brings back poor memories of the rock band.

Well I know what you're saying, don't compare this to a Supra. This car is a cheap pos, Supra was a real performance machine.
Until this can lay down 800hp with just a turbo and ecm on stock internals, it can't touch a Supra. Lets not forget the stock TT Supra's 0-60 in 4.6s, don't think hyundai will be anywhere near that.

Re: FryLock350
800hp whatever...brag all that hp but reality SMACKS at yo face! Can you really get your hands on one SUPRA..rather anyone for that matter in the US currently?!.
Oh no. Keep dreaming, Fry....

I mostly like the look of this thing. What Hyundai really needs at this point is a logo which doesn't look as if it were designed in 1985 on a tight budget. Even Toyota's grotesque badge is better.
How hot is this car though when my complaint is the badge?

It looks like every other generic coupe on the road.
And soon kids will be driving it with big window stickers, wings and bodykits on it.
Yay.

so what do you drive? a tricycle? geek.

It could be worse you know, like that ugly CTS coupe concept. but don't worry no kids will be driving around in those, only middle aged losers.

It looks ok.Kinda like a cross between the Tiburon and a G35.What ever happened to that beautiful 'Genesis' 4 door show car that looked like BMW 5 series material.
They sure watered down 'Genesis".

Ok, I'm slightly confused. I have heard that this IS NOT a replacement for the Tiburon and that there IS a tiburon replacement coming in the near future. However, the genesis coupe looks almost exactly like the current Tiburon, with obvious minor styling changes. So my question: is this a tiburon replacement and will it get a proper v8?

This is NOT a Tiburon replacement. A Tiburon replacement is in the works, and it will remain separate from the Genesis and on a FWD platform.
They appeal to different markets, one being more performance oriented and the other being more economy oriented, so I think it does make sense to keep both around. Just as the Genesis Coupe is the complement to the Genesis sedan, think of the Tiburon like the economy counterpart to the Sonata.
