Here, as stated in this press release, are the direct competitors to the new TSX:

"Acura TSX positioned alongside the Audi A4 2.0T, BMW 328i, Infiniti G37, Lexus IS 250, and Mercedes-Benz C300"

Audi = FWD or AWD
BMW 328i = RWD or AWD
Infiniti G35 = RWD or AWD (not G37, as the press release states, which is a coupe)
Lexus IS 250 = RWD or AWD
MB C300 = RWD or AWD

Acura stand alone with its FWD-take-it-or-leave it approach.

I loved everything about the old TSX, except for its FWD drivetrain.
