Currently diesel is running a dollar more per gallon than regular unleaded in my area. I compared a 2005 VW diesel to a unleaded version. Let’s say we split the mpg down the middle of city and highway, the diesel makes 35mpg and the unleaded makes 27 mpg in mixed driving. On a 10 gallon tank you are getting 80 miles more on a diesel vs non diesel a net savings of roughly 2 gallons. The cost however at $4.14 for diesel vs $3.17 for unleaded will end up costing you 10 dollars more for the diesel and your net savings is only about 8-8.50 so you essentially are loosing money on the diesel the way it stands today.

Hybrids are a waste no matter what. I factored on the 2007 Accord hybrid that the markup vs. a non hybrid would take you over 3 years of filling up every week to break even on the markup that the hybrids have. And not to mention that the batteries cost $3000 to replace when they are needed in 6-7 years.

Nick

Comments on New York 2008: 2009 Acura TSX revealed... again... but LIVE

I guess they say Aidi, BMW and Lexus - the only one I can see this going up against is the Audi 2.0t FWD

Ligor

Comments on New York 2008: 2009 Acura TSX revealed... again... but LIVE

When my lease is up, I won't be looking at the TSX again.

On top of being ugly and not having SH-AWD, this tiny power increase does nothing when you take in to consideration this model weighs more.
