Oh. yay. just what GM needs MORE retro design cues from the past. I guess that's easier then spending a bit of time and money coming up with a killer new design language ie the ford mondeo et-al.

Cues vs. BLAST FROM DA PAST (à la PT, HHR, Beetle(sp), current gen Mustang) != the same

Buicks from 1960-1970 were some of the most beautifully designed and proportioned automobiles ever made. I'll welcome design cues from that era with open arms.
The 1965 Riviera is one of the most understated and elegant machines ever designed.

AlexP, the crease in the bodyline makes it look retro. If you look at it and the boatail Rivieras you will see a resemblence.

Again, cues is not going literally retro.
You can be creative by taking design cues from the past, you know.
