This car is going to be an amazing Z, going back more to it's roots as a small two seater. Even the headlights remind me of the tapered plastic covered 240Z headlights. Supposedly 4 inches shorter in length, with the VQ37, lighter, better interior than the outgoing. There are actually shots of the interior in that image. I don't see those posted here.

Had a ride in the performance model 350Z on the track last weekend and the current car suffers a lot from too much weight. I have a 240z with a 280z mild turbo motor and it pulls down the straights better than the 350Z mostly because it's about 1k pounds lighter. Add Lightness Nissan, add lightness! A great V6 doesn't do much for performance if it's pushing a tank around the turns.

Ghosn has stated that the new direction for Nissan is simpler and lighter cars. The rumored 4" wheelbase reduction of the 370Z vs. the 350Z is testament to their planned weight-loss program for this model. Added to the 30bhp power bump, this new Z should be faster and more nimble.

i heard the wheelbase was staying the same but the car was loosing 4 inches in length
so that would be even shorter overhangs which is good
the biggest problem the current z has is weight, if its gonna weigh 3500+ lbs it should have a v8
hopefully they wont jack up the price even more, when the 350z first came out, you could get one for 26k, over time the price has creeped up, now you are more likely to pay 36k. its not worth that much
