The 8C wont pay the bills; the 147 and 159 would. There's a niche opening up in North America, and Mini, Mazda, VW and Acura are already filling it (Saturn is trying, too, but isn't there yet; Saab is priced too high and lacks product).
Alfa could probably sneak in there. They're not really appreciably worse than VW, and have more raw appeal than Acura and more "premium-ness" than Mazda. A decent 147 could punch a real hole in the market that a 159 could follow.
