It stalls frequently and without warning or apparent reason. The entire system completely shuts down, and no codes can be found. It has stalled on the interstate, while stopped at lights, while in a drive through, when parked and idling, when turning corners, and also in heavy traffic. I am a single mother of a 10 year old, and we have had to get out and push the vehicle off the road on several occasions. I have had the crank shaft sensor and the cam shaft sensor replaced. Just yesterday, I spent $800.00 on a new computer. Now I have to wait and see if that was the problem. I guess I'll know if it dies again; I just hope nobody on the road, including my son or myself, gets hurt because of it.

SK

Comments on

I have a 1997 Jeep GCL 2 wd which I bought used approx. 2years ago. The stalling problem started January of this year (2008). My Jeep stalls while driving on the highway. No codes come up. We could be going 60 mph on the highway and it would just die. Power totally gone. Lights would come back on but engine still dead. I have brought it to the mechanic twice and he could not find the problem. The Chrysler phone number listed on the Consumer Affairs site to report the stalling problem is 1-800-853-1403. I'm going to call. I encourage everyone to call so they can expand the recall to include all Jeeps with the stalling problem.

Rebe

Comments on

I was hoping to get a jeep grand cherokee and now you are making me second guesses myself. what do i do now can anyone help me there..

bigbonebitch1985

Comments on

My 06 jeep grand cherokee stalls occasionally when coming to a complete stop.
