hard to believe its being said, and production could change it, but right now I'd take the Ford version over the Mazda version.
ford exterior is cleaner. ford interior is nicer. now, it could be show car interior on Ford vs production on Mazda but if it carries over somewhat, I'll take a fiesta.

Cool. You take the Fiesta, and leave the Mazda 2 for me. I want one. Bring it! Jazzy looking interior, love the Recaros in the one pic.

Everytime Mazda and Ford Share a platform, the Mazda version comes out ahead of the Ford one in my opinion.
The interior finish, warranty covereage, and pricing is usually better too.
I still remember years ago, when you could pickup a Tribute from mazda and had a 4 year bumper to bumper warranty as standard, and you'd go to the Ford boys next door and pay more for the Escape clone, and get a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. Also Mazda would include free loaner/rental car coverage with warranty work that even was a one day fix, and just involved keeping a free rental/loaner and returning it at the end of the day when your car was ready at the dealership.
Mazda's bang for the buck has always exceeded Ford's.
Even the Ford Probes and same platform MX-6's came off the same line in Michigan, but the beautiful Italianesque styling of the 2nd generation MX-6 was incredible compared to the Probe.
Of course Ford sold more Probes........Thats a given. Buyer loyalty, minus common sense in many cases. It's a Mazda and it isn't American, while the Probe was in reality a re-skinned MX-6 with Mazda engine/running gear as well.
Just look

did you ever drive the probe?
it was the vastly superior vehicle
i am very surprised to say that i would also take the ford over the mazda, not knowing any stats
