X5 Vision EfficientDynamics hybrid is. The vehicle, with its twin-turbo 4-cylinder diesel engine mated to a li-ion battery pack that doesn't need to be refueled until after the Apocalypse. by then, fuel will probably be the last of your worries. Special aero rims, a solar roof panel to heat up engine fluids before you start the vehicle, an 8-speed transmission, and X5 room and ride only make it all the sweeter. Check out the hi-res gallery of shots below to get as close as we did to it.

At $3.40/gal. I just blew $52 filling my 325 up. I would rather cover my entire car in solar panels than have to deal with a $300/mo. fuel expense.

Efficient Dynamics Son!! BMW looks to have hit a home run Green Machine here. It's all good.

These fuel prices are getting a bit nuts. My old Astro van that I use on occasion for hauling crap to the recycling center/dump just cost me about $60 to fill. It's nuts! The sad thing is, when I do use the Astro it is just me, and it's rarely full, I just prefer to toss the stuff without it building up. I have been thinking about getting a Xebra Truck from Zap to do the deed for cheap (http://www.zapworld.com). I can't see myself loading up a nice shiny BMW with trash though... I don't care how good the mileage is, I would never be willing to reduce it to trash hauling duties!
