Beyond the first sketch that surfaced and a sort-of leaked teaser last week, Opel has kept the Meriva out of the lime light until now. Courtesy of a few sites in Europe, we've been provided the first official unofficial images of the Meriva concept.
The squat people mover is more anonymous than absorbing, with a rather bland profile and somewhat forgettable front end. The concept's show piece is its FlexDoors; essentially rear-hinged "suicide" doors for back seat passengers.
We're just a week away from the official unveiling in the land of foie and schnitzel, so we'd expect more details to be revealed shortly.

Love the taper in the rear window ala Hyundai Genesis coupe, which Hyundai didn't have the courage to keep, and the Eagles logo headlights.

Yeah it's goose pate....did you think no one would speak German?

I'd like this to translate into a Saturn Meriva for those of you in the US.

Yes. The Meriva doesn't quite have an equal in North America (the Fit is close, but not quite). Saturn would do well by having product that no other brand in North America has.

I think a production version of this concept would make a perfect product for Saturn. Hopefully, there is a Meriva in Saturn's future.

Definitely.

Nothing revolutionary in its design but likeble one at that and as Honda Fit finds itself on US market Meriva should come to US perhaps as a Saturn...clever packaging makes this sort of vehicle suprisingly roomy.
