Have you driven an EVO? It is a rocket, but you gotta wait until mid-range rev band to access the firepower.

I walked away wishing to have 2 smaller Turbos to boost pressure low down in the rev range. I own an Evo IX, and although it's one of the most responsive turbo cars there is in stock form, it still has a bit of lag before it scorches towards redline. The throttle response of this vehicle with correctly sized turbos could be epic. The only thing with small turbos though is not much room for top end improvement.
The older Audi/VW 1.8t owners will tell you: that tiny KKK turbo was good and responsive, but fell flat on the top end. Good luck if you're trying to get more airflow from the usual mods... the turbo can't keep up. Turbo technology has come a far way though, so lets keep our fingers crossed and see what the boys from Munich have in store.

Franz
