Why not bring over this Kuga from the European mkt., also from the Australian market, why not continue with the 2009 Ford Ranger they still produce,(Ford is making an idiotic mistake by cutting the Ranger from it's line-up stateside) along with the Mondeo, Falcon, and Focus!!
Have the people of FORD, USA totally lost their minds?
No brainer: Bring us the European & Australian models, and watch your sales soar!
No, I don't own a Ford right now, but certainly would if they'd bring over a couple of these beauties!

there are a ton around here (MI) acting as security vehicles in almost any mall and any company that has security, even cabs are converting to the Escape

Heck, Toyota is on its second generation over the same span (3rd in all). the hybrid continues to get kudos, and user ratings remain pretty high.

its biggest problem is that it doesnt get the fuel mileage that the honda/toyo get.

Realizing these cars are designed for the European consumer and market, it is a no brainer that some of them would do well here also. And given the shape Ford is in, why isn't someone there exploring the possibility of bringing some of these models here to plug the holes in their lineup (let Mercury sell the Mondeo and Kuga) and provide a relatively quick fix to the need for small sub conmpact cars where Ford has no presence or any, to my knowledge, plans to compete in this segment.

Wonder if any of these cars will fit into the new worldwide design language Ford recently announced for the future; or are these models that will simply be stop gap product to whatever J May and his crack team come up with in four or five years when Ford will be even further behind the competition than now?]]>Feb 14th 2008 9:27PM
