Chevys and Fords and I guess Dodges have already proven that they can get the job done. So a PS Egg looking like truck that only strenght is its I Force 5.7 can go fast. I am not trying to bash the Tundra but it still has to prove itself. US Automakers might outsource their plants to its neighbors but their more American than Toyota will ever be. Blah blah blah but the Tundra is made in San Antonio, with American parts..... its been said before. Don’t get me wrong, I am a for competition am not xenophobic, but for a tundra to be bashing The Big Threes truck is BS.

jjmite

Comments on

@trevormeridith

do you realize that the ford f-150 is built in america(i believe viginia? and dearborn?) not canada or mexico.

st

Comments on

and the RAM is made in St.Louis

http://www.trucktrend.com/features/news/2007/163_news071109_one_millionth_dodge_ram/index.html

vexner

Comments on

As a newcomer to the truck market and being an unbiased brand owner, i am still suprised at the negative press autobloggers give the tundra. I agree, its faults and recalls are unacceptable, but expected on a completely new platform, especially Toyota. Just because your number 1, dont start dropping your quality. However, the chevy/gmc doesn't seem much better and not one owner i know comes anywhere near its apparent 20mpg. Complete bullsh$t. The dodge interior is a disgrace. And the F-150? Being the no1 selling vehicle doest tell me how good it is, just how many stupid people live in this country. Poor peformance, poor economy and build quality to meet or below its rivals. Titan? Poor interior but otherwise quite good. Pity about the horrible rear diff choice. If i had to drive a big stinking truck, the the Toyota or a Chevy would be a close call.

Mike
