Don't know what it is, but Mitsubishis just never seems to measure up. Here is my point. If Toyota or Honda made this exact car, it would sell better, and have a better resale value once you tire of it.

Before any of you bare your fangs, there is some history here.

The Starion, was a kickass car, but resale was crap. I know, I took in a couple of TSi Starions on trades for Turbo Supras. Sellers lost their shorts on those cars.

The original Diamante same thing. That was a georgeous car in its day. Big hits at trade-in.

The 3000 did somewhat better, but not when compared to the Supra, 300 ZX and RX-7.

Even the Galant (not the current gen ugly duckling) were very nice cars that the owners took a bath on at trade in time. I know some who had to hang on to the cars, because they lost so much value.

Can't speak on the EVOs never really had anything to do with them.

Mind you, I never said that they were bad cars. They just seem to get no respect at trade-in

Mr. Oak

Comments on Chicago 2008: Mitsubishi shows off 2009 Eclipses

Boring. Lose 400lbs, make smaller overall, then add a 2.0l turbo model. Even if it was fwd I'd still be happy with that. The Eclipse had a spot in my heart when I bought my first car: a 1997 Eclipse GS-T. The 2009 iteration has some design features that I don't like. The headlights are rather big and ugly. I don't like the spoiler as well. The door handles ala-350Z are out of place. And I don't like the color yellow on this car. That color only belongs to the 350Z.

Sam P
