Dodge Challenger to debut simultaneously in Chicago and Philadelphia

We're definitely geared up for the official unveiling of the 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 at the Chicago Auto Show next week. But for those who don't live near the Windy City, you can check out Chrysler's modern day muscle car in person at the 2008 Philadelphia Auto Show where it will debut simultaneously. The interesting thing is that the Challenger will debut on Wednesday, February 6th during the press preview days of the Chicago Auto Show. Chicagoans not accredited with a media badge will have to wait until the weekend to see the car in person. Philadelphians, however, will be able to view the car the very same day since the Philly show is already open to the public at that point. Considering the Royal Rumble we expect to ensue in Chicago after Chrysler invites the media up on stage to view the car, perhaps we'll have a blogger on hand in Philadelphia to catch the other unveiling. Any volunteers? Thanks for the tip, caddy dave!

>>> You might have had your fill of the overexposure of this car, Tikirob. But unlike the upcoming Camaro which is still a year or more away, this car will be in dealer showrooms and in customer's garages by Spring.
The wait is almost over, and not only will you be able to judge the car by what you've read, but by what you can actually see, hear and feel.
Personally, I'm excited about it's arrival. Perhaps after you seen it for yourself you might just agree it was worth the hype and the wait.

What a bunch of whiners. I'm tired of seeing the Mustang, I'm tired of seeing the Challenger, I'm tired of seeing the Camaro. But you're not tired of commenting that you're tired of it. I'm sure tired of you being tired.

Tired of it?? No way. I'd love to see it in my garage.

I will be attending the Philly show on the 6th. I'd be more than happy to snap a bunch of pics as well as gather product information.

I can't wait to see them on the streets, at the drag strip, at car shows, and customized by their proud owners.

just this morning i was thinking about how the Philly Auto show is the never the venue for any new unveilings.
I'll be there on day one, and my old lady's brother is one of the tradesmen setting the whole place up. I'll get him to snap a few pics, if he can't get some for you guys.

why not the LS2LS7? 12:16PM (1/28/2008)
Oh crap, now the Challenger is the new Mustang.
The next "big" announcement will have a company announcing the auto show at which they will announce when they will announce when and where they will announce their car.
And the internet will cover it...

Definitely not tired to me at all; not as tired as passing the same silver CamCord 15+ times a day

If you're tired of seeing it in pictures you had no intention of buying it in the first place since then you'd have to see and drive it every day. In which case nobody cares that you're tired of seeing it.

I just scroll past articles that don't interest me.... not sure why the Muscle-haters can't do the same :p

Agreed. . . I dont really care about anything that has to do with Nascar or car racing and there's tons of posts on here about drivers, events, etc. But I don't click on them and complain that there's too many posts about it. It's an AUTO blog and therefore tries to cover topics that everyone is interested in. I am psyched for the new challenger and drool over all the new releases and info that autoblog posts. I'm sure there's people who get excited when they post articles about Nascar or Priuseses. If you don't like the wide range of coverage then start your own blog and you can ignore everything related to retro muscle cars!!!
