Seeing Red: all-crimson Bugati Veyron up for sale

Click to view more images of the red Bugatti Veyron
The exquisite two-tone paint schemes are just one of the many factors that make the Bugatti Veyron stand out, so how do you make yours stand out from the rest of them? Why, opt for a monochrome tint, of course. It seems so natural – cliché to some – to order a hyper-exotic supercar in bright red, yet this is the first Veyron we've seen decked out in this typically Ferrari color scheme: all red with a black leather interior. And it's for sale. Contact your financial advisors.
Check out the crimson goodness in the gallery below.

The single toned exterior and bland black interior make this the cheapest looking Veyron I've ever seen, pity.

How exactly do you make a Veyron look CHEAP?!! I couldn't afford that if I sold everything I own.

What about this one, perfect for us girls?

That BAPE Veyron is pretty slick by today's standards, but the company's on the way out of popularity. Big waste of money.

andrew, bape was on it's way out in 1997
now, it's just mainstream rubbish
why not the LS2LS7? 4:21PM (1/27/2008)
Ugly in all liveries. This doesn't seem worse than average.

I just can't imagine people paying 1.4 mil for one of these

Why does everyone hate on this and the Enzo? I think they both look pretty slick. Let's not forget this is the pinnacle of automotive engineering of our time in production car form. If I had the expendable cash, I'd pick one up (in two tone).

I personally think the Enzo is ugly too. In both cases, it's mainly because I don't like the wind tunnel dictating the styling. In the Enzo's case it also violates many of the traditional Ferrari styling cues (which the F430 also throws out the window).
Rarely does a car become truly collectible because of its speed. And that's what styling by wind tunnel optimizes for. The reason for this is there's always soon after some other car that's a bit quicker.
Cars that are fast are fast for a while, and eventually eclipsed by Camrys in speed. Cars that are beautiful are beautiful forever. And that's why the GT40 is a classic.

Don't get me wrong, I love the GT40 too. The Enzo is just phenomenal in my eyes. It's aesthetically pleasing. I can't put it into words. But, there's plenty of cars I hate that millions love, so I suppose it's a subjective thing.

See, this is the first time I actually appreciate this car's design. The usual two-tone paint scheme distracts me.

I agree. The typical scheme never really did it for me so I find it much easier to appreciate the solid color.

I have the opposite opinion. The car's design is subtle, downplayed, dare I say conservative. The 2-tone paint jobs were all very fitting, classy. The red is a color reserved for a passionate car (or a car trying to look passionate). This car isn't one of passion, it's something austere, classic, monolithic.
I don't know, I'd probably get it in this color:

Different strokes... I guess I may be a little conservative in my tastes, but somehow I do like the R8's 'sideblade'. I just think that a million-dollar car doesn't need to look more impressive than its 16-cylinder engine sounds... Let it speak for itself, without the flashy paint job and such. And let's be honest - nobody would confuse it with a Corolla, even in monochromatic silver and tiny 16-inch wheels.

There's a black-on-black one in the window at a dealership here in Chicago. It's on my way home from work. I pause and drool at the window a couple times a week.

Rush Street or somewhere else? I haven't seen said Veyron.

I never know what to say about the looks of this car. Half of me likes it cause it is so strange and exotic looking. But the other half, the half that enjoys Spykers, Aston Martins and such thinks it is a hideous car.

I'd rather have more red Veyrons than red Camaros and Chevelles.

You can almost bet that the owner walked into the Bugatti dealership and said "I want a Veyron, but I want it to look like a Ferrari..."

I think this is at the Silicon Valley Auto Group. You can see more of it on their website, or in person in Los Gatos, Ca
