Sometimes, when guys get bored, they get inventive. When they get inventive, hilarity often ensues, such as when they add dual steering to a Fiat 126p, reverse the bodywork, and then head out to play in traffic. You know what? Cars that can drive "backwards" and on an angle like defective shopping carts are cool. Extra laughs arrive at around the midway point, when a buddy joins the driver to physically man the second steering wheel, the sight of which is ridiculous. For the most part, however, the yellow-shirted driver is soloing with one hand on each wheel. It is as insane as it is hilarious. We have a feeling this might be the answer to that new Renault Twingo that set the J-turn world record. See the wackiness for yourselves after the jump.
Alex, on Saturdays, does your job consist solely of perusing Youtube for unique but not terribly videos? So far you've posted two. Just curious. There are worse jobs.
Man, I liked to have pissed my pants laughing at this! That's pretty creative! That was a bit of a mindf**k when they turned left to go around that sharp right.
Lol! My step brother showed me this video about 5 years ago, and when I went to poland two years ago I saw this car in the Bydgosc area, Unless somebody else was driving their maluch backwards down the road. Funny stuff, gotta love it.
not particularly thrilled to see this.. in a recent post we all mocked the guy that went over 200 mph in his Lamborghini Murciélago on public roads, but this stunt, also performed on public roads clearly appears to be dangerous and unnecessarily puts the other lawful users of the road in harm's way.
I was talking about the driving and not the car. I'm pretty sure that (at the time this message is being typed) this type of driving isn't legal in Poland
I think it's pretty funny and all... but driving around like that in traffic just has to be one of the dumbest things I've seen today. Especially considering that the car probably isn't the most stable with two steering wheels and could be a bit erratic... I was just waiting for him to hit someone.
Yeah, the amount of time he spent on the wrong side of the center line was not very cool. At least if he had wrecked it would have been a fender bender, not a rolling fireball. Small consolation for the other guy though.
The idea of the whole thing is simply hilarious. Would be perfect for parallel parking! Don't they say that most cars would be more aerodynamic backwards anyways?
I found that a couple of years ago as well..had it in my favorites, got a kick out of it. That particular car model and its locale is like chevies to us..still hacking them not as ingeniously.
it's not case "add dual steering to a Fiat 126p, reverse the bodywork". they swapped this little fiat engine for one from vw polo (or golf i don't remember). and not only engine, the whole transmission and suspension package as well. because 126 is rear engine rwd and polo is front engine fwd the result was 4 wheel steering monster ;]

This car was (by the time this video was shot) road legal in Poland, so please do your reading before acting like and old lady.

In fact, it is quite hard to find a 126p in daily use in Poland. Actually, they have become rarities, if in good shape.
