that's funny... since it's one of Australia's #1 selling vehicles for the past 10 years...
Mike 1:27PM (1/26/2008)

Either Ford or GM is going to bring one of these trucklets over and the other one is going to be kicking themselves for not doing it.

You're right. I saw these utes when I was down in Australia and they're friggin sweet! I even wanted one. They're extremely popular in Australia.

It'll be GM with the Pontiac ST. And Ford will wish they would have done the same.

What? No fine print? No "professional driver on a closed course, do not attempt?"

Yes- they trust Australians to drive slowly in a straight line. More importantly, its a wonderful piece of advertising that harkens back to the late 80's/early 90's beer commercials.
Fabri91 3:06PM (1/26/2008)
They trust the public with having at least some common sense.

This spot for the Falcon Ute is much more clever.

And this commercial for the new Holden Ute is amazing.

It's really a shame Ford and GM advertising in the US isn't anywhere near as good.

Rene Curry - Sweet Video
Before Ford could consider selling this in America they would have to redesign it first.
In my opinion this looks to much like the Pontiac GTO of yore.

The Holden and Ford both look good, its not much different to bringing back the Mustang and Camaro, It wont sell in High numbers but they do look Nice. and Im sure it would fill a niche.

Once in Australia I saw a bumper sticker:
Boy + Ute = Man
Man + Ute = Mighty Hunter

Ford should bring over its whole Falcon line up here to the States.
The sedans are sweet too and they don`t have that rediculous Fusion grill.
