Hubcap Creatures: wheel covers as works of art

If I were high brow enough to collect art, I'd have a Jellio Drive-in hanging on my living room wall and a number of these Hubcap Creatures displayed around my home. Hubcap Creatures are the work of a UK-based artist who likes to find the value in objects deemed worthless by society. There aren't many things more worthless than a hubcap, which makes the end product of this artist's work all the more amazing. Most of the sculptures are fish, though we caught a lizard or two in there, and many a pub in London has commissioned works of other animals that are on display in their fine establishments. Prices reportedly range from $300 to upwards of $1,000 depending on the complexity of the piece and presumably the value of the raw material. If we ever find the name of who he or she is that creates these pieces, we'll see if we can snag one for a sweepstakes, and maybe one for my coffee table.

Does anyone else think these look like the Sharkticons from "Transformers: The Movie"? Or am I still living in the 1980s?

No, they´re Triton´s attack fleet from Stingray. Anyone remember the mid 1960´s TV show produced by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson?
