Porsche is designing reading glasses now
If youth is wasted on the young, then wealth is surely wasted on the old. That might explain why you see so many middle-aged crises rolling around in Porsches. If the young could afford European sportscars, then Porsche Design probably wouldn't be turning out products like Porsche smoking pipes. Well, maybe they would, but they'd be used for other purposes. And these certainly wouldn't be part of the portfolio: Porsche Design Reading Glasses, for crying out loud.
The P'8134 reading frames are made out of titanium and, mind you, are probably the nicest pair of reading glasses out there. I'm sure if my father were to trade in his Lexus for a Porsche, it'd be these reading specs he'd be forgetting to take off before getting into the car.

Porsche design pipes are really good. Now, Porsche Design cigar lighters on the other hand.... beautiful, and awful functionality.

I am not sure if I would want the lettering at the bottom of the lens. That has got to get in the way.
This is the same Porsche that penned the first 911.

Probably just "display" lenses. Pretty much all frames will come with some faux lenses, usually with logos, until the correct lenses (with no lettering) are made and put into place.

Please make us a Porsche Cigar and make it smell and burn like a 911 Turbo's Exhaust.
Yes, a Real Man's Cigar.
It'll Match your Manly Porsche designed sunglasses, deodorant, Porsche jacket, shoes, pants, underwear, gloves, socks and topped off by your slick Porsche Hair Gel.
You look at your Porsche Design Watch and you say "Porsche Time"

Is there anything Porsche Design hasn't done? They have their stamp on everything it seems like.

"Yes, Porsche may not have invented the car, but we can make a new type of car - the 911."
"Yes, Porsche may not have invented the SUV, but we can make a new type of SUV - the Cayenne."
"Yes, Porsche may not have birthed a man, but we can make a new type of man - the Porsche Man"

Why? The lens is made of PLASTIC =/= NOT GLASS!!!
They scratch & break instantly. And for that price!!! SHAME on them.

Er... do you wear glasses?
If so, then you'd know how dangerous glass glasses are. Shatter 'em and go blind.

It's a fitting design for a company that puts its engines in the back.

Those look silly. And I don't see why you'd want the frame on the bottom edge of the lens in the first place.
Porsche "Design" is really just Porsche styling. And stupid styling, at that.

that way you don't have a line running through the middle of your vision. Kind of a neat idea, but could take getting used to.
I think they're cool looking. Probably look goofy on a person, but cool looking by themselves.

porsche design is an independant company for luxury products for men. The founder is from the porsche-family. It makes also industrial design, for example tuningparts for subaru or trains for Siemens or boats for "fearless yeachts"

You don't have to own a Porsche to enjoy the great products by Porsche Design.
I would still have a Porsche Design toaster, coffee maker, blender and water kettle, if I did not have a Porsche automobile in my garage.
Good taste in design is not exclusive to owners of one particular brand of sports cars.

Do realize that the majority of lenses these days are plastic?
For the record, plastic lenses are clearer, more durable and less prone to scratch.
