Why even comment on this? These cars are in different categories--and we're not talking about pure speed. Sure, you can buy a Ford Evo for half the price of an Audi TT S. But trust me, you'll NEVER see a Ford Evo in a magazine comparison against an Audi, BMW or Mercedes sports couple.
That's like saying I'd rather own a Ford Taurus SHO than an Audi S5. If you can afford the total package, buy the full package. But please don't compare the TT S to a Ford.
