Hummer has made it known that it is to be a complete line of SUV's from large to small like Jeep. Own an H2 now and love it and might consider one of these to beat it up. I had an H3 and while it was underpowered, I pulled bushes out of my yard with it so hard the front end almost came off the ground. I routinely beat on the H3 and it took what I handed it. Oddest of all was its road manners, I found it to be a very comfortable vehicle. You would be suprised if you drove one.

I find it funny that Jeep has a pile of square, shorter window vehicles now (Commander, Patriot & Liberty) and added 2 doors finally to the Wrangler although it looks like crap. At least it seems this happened after the H3. Then Dodge makes a square, smaller windowed vehicle in the Nitro. This is good for quality and competition for Jeep\Hummer brands.

All that said, too bad GM did not put the V6 in the H3 to begin with, the 5 is too small, the 8 is stupidly too big. I assume this was a logistics problem, since it was built where the Colorado was, odds are it was a cheap solution to drop the i5 in it. I owned a Colorado, the i5 worked fine in that.

MajorGeek

Comments on Detroit 2008: Hummer HX rappel into COBO (w/VIDEO)

When & where can I get one & how much is it.
It is exactly what I am looking for.

Bill

Comments on Detroit 2008: Hummer HX rappel into COBO (w/VIDEO)

Frank and others,

Its nice to see all of this interest around the HX show car.
