I already know that I'm going to be very disappointed with the production version (assuming it will even make it stateside). A car with this exact exterior is what should be on dealers lots right now (the interior is a little wild for a production Ford). However, Ford will beat this thing down with the bland stick and the cheapo stick until they get something slightly less inspiring than the US Focus. On the other hand, it'll probably have SYNCH!!! (sarcasm)
I want to be an optimist when it comes to Ford's future, but lately I have nothing to cling to.

Actually, it will look exactly the same as the EU version except a slightly different nose to accomodate the U.S. crash standards. It may not offer as many combinations and luxury features as the EU version, but there are no plans for a different suspension or drastically different designs to differentiate this from the EU version.
About the only thing that will separate this vehicle in reality is the lack of diesel in the powertrain.

I really hope you're right because this is not a segment that Ford can afford to fail in. There is really no segment that they CAN afford to fail in.
