why not the LS2LS7? @ Jan 13th 2008 3:53PM
500HP isn't worth putting up with 800lbs of iron block.

500HP LOL, Today Wall Street Journal reported that GAS tax will be increased by .40 cents.

@mike, and this car provides the same fuel economy as a 3.2l TT (within 1mpg), or an R32, pretty damn good considering the top speed and acceleration of the car, esp after we see the real numbers in journalists hands (ie: the R8 already not having issue meeting a 4.2s 0-60 in multiple reviews).

zamafir:
It's a concept. It's unlikely that it will ever be turned over to the press for performance measurements. Track days maybe, but no 0-60 tests, no slalom tests.
zamafir @ Jan 13th 2008 5:28PM
It's a concept which has seen significant time on the 'ring. I highly doubt this car won't may production, especially with carefully engineered official 0-60 times as to not directly compete with the LP640.

Well I think it is simply one of the most interesting and unique super cars ever produced. Audi is easily stomping BMW and MBenz with superb technologyand quality right now and they are blowing me away every new vehicle I behold. I cannot wait to see my new TT that is on order right now- and I have absolutely no doubt that I will be pleased for years to come.

Well, we'll see, won't we?
I think with an engine that heavy, I think the car will be a crappy handler and run through tires like they were between-meal snacks.
How many heavy-ass, mid-engine poor handling cars do you think the market can support?
zamafir @ Jan 13th 2008 9:20PM
Sure will, I don't see audi, with all their experience, and all the progress they've made with the RS4, S5, R8, tossing handling gains out the window.
