These actually compress the air as it passes through. This is a Roots-type supercharger, it doesn't internally compress air at all, it just pushes it through faster than it would otherwise come through. This has the effect of causing the air to "pile up" in the cylinders, which does compress it getting that supercharger boost.

Don't forget it has a heads-up display, well at least the Z06 does, I'm sure this does too.

why not the LS2LS7?

Comments on VIDEO: Corvette ZR1 track attack

I don't see how what I said was funny. For that matter I'd take a Porsche GT2 over the ZR1. Porsche claims a 3.7 sec 0-6 time. You're kidding yourself if you think the ZR1 will be much faster than that. If it is by like what 1 or 2 tenths of a second. Top seed and track #'s are great but................I'm never going to take the car to the track & I don't beat on my cars and I'll bet that 97% of people don't either. The ZR1's claimed top speed of 215mph is amazing....incrediable!
What I simply said was........It the price was around the same........I'd take the Porsche & if the ZR1 was faster then an F430 or a 599 I'd still choose the Ferrari. What are you gonna do.....that's just my opinion. If you'd take the ZR1, good luck...enjoy.

Anthony

Comments on VIDEO: Corvette ZR1 track attack

In the post im replying to, you compared a Gt2 to a Zr1, then a Turbo to a Zr1. which one is it?

Anyways, What I understand from your post is that you really dont care how a car performs or handles, but just how it looks or what other people think about it. Also that you want the porsche cause its 0-60's rather than its track abilities which I think is also absurd. There are plenty of other cars you can have that can go quicker for cheaper.

I think you need to stop hating on such an amazing car. As a die hard porsche fan, i accept that this thing is a monster. All the engines that they put in C6,Z06, and ZR1 are pretty amazing. take a look at what an achievement this car is rather then making dumb comments.

Andrew Tanasescu

Comments on VIDEO: Corvette ZR1 track attack

What I ment to say was the turbo does 0-60 in 3.7 sec.
To me, the way I drive 0-60 times are more important than track times or g-force.

Anthony

Comments on VIDEO: Corvette ZR1 track attack

The z06 already matches the turbo's 0-60 and i'm sure the ZR1 will be like 3.3 - 3.4...It's hard to get much faster.
