Not only did the MPG go down, the ergonomics are much fussier than in previous Accords, and it now drives little differently from a Camry--a Camry with quicker (but equally fluffy) steering pretty much sums it up.
I frankly don't think the V6 Altima feels significantly sportier to drive than the V6 Accord or Camry, but it does cost less, has simpler controls, and gets better mileage courtesy of the CVT. Still, it's no thrill ride aside from the excess thrust common to most V6 sedans these days.
