I like this. GM was able to take some of bloat out of the vanilla CTS, which is a good thing. The new model looked "fat" as compared to it's predecessor; at least from the few shots I've seen, this looks nearer to the previous CTS than the new one.

Thats a ZR1 engine in there, 650HP is probably just a pulley swap and tune away.

The supercharger displacement is lower in this car (1.9 vs. 2.3 liters).

And I think the LS9 contains a whole lot of uprated parts (I recall, for instance, that a lot of the reciprocating parts are titanium) to handle the extra 100 hp.
