Help Pickuptruck.com build a custom Nissan Titan, and then win it

Our friends over at Pickuptruck.com are extremely excited about their big project in 2008, which is to use input from readers to customize a 2008 Nissan Titan Crew Cab PRO-4X community project truck. So far readers have helped pick the paint scheme, which is a nice red-on-black affair with some silver accents as seen above. In the future, readers will get to pick other exterior elements as well, including the wheels and more aftermarket treatments for the truck. When all is said and done, Pickuptruck.com will be giving away its project Titan truck to a reader who enters its sweepstakes that just kicked off today. Like our own sweepstakes last spring for a 2007 Dodge Nitro R/T, you can enter once a day to win the Pickuptruck.com custom Nissan Titan. Unlike ours, you can do so through March 7th. That's right, increase your chances of winning this one-of-a-kind truck by entering every day for three months. Throughout that time the website will be updating readers on the truck's progress and asking for input as it's built up. Having suffered through our own sweepstakes without being able to enter, you can bet the entire Autoblog team will be entering everyday to win this one.

If mods are just all aesthetic and it ends up as some garage-dwelling show-truck, I will vomit uncontrollably.

Here's how you build a better Nissan Titan:
First you start with an F-150...
ZING!

Better for what?
The Ford is overbuilt for a half ton, overweight, and has a gutless engine abetted by a 20 year old transmission. About as much fun to drive as a bus.
The Titan has a cheap, flimsy interior and long term reliability questions.
Both are outclassed by the Silverado and Tundra, but at least the Titan is cheap.

Not many comments here, yet. Could it be that the pix of a vintage H-D edition F-250 have confused folks? Yeah, I know, it's a Titan.
BTW, the last time I counted, January 7 to March 7 is about 60 days....how does anyone get 3 months out of 60 days?

Surprising, considering the Molotov cocktail any post about a pick-up usually turns into. maybe all the trolls are working...
I really like the interior of the Titan. Flimsy is not a word I would use.

No single cab nissan truck = no thanks.
Although I guess I could still sell it for big bucks.

Wow Dan and the F150 is outclassed how? And you own an F150 and know what it is like to drive it everyday correct? Oh that's right, you don't! The F-series always has and always will be better than anything out there. Notice all of those late 80's, 90's and current F150's still around? Exactly. And anyone who talks on here about how fast a truck can go is no truck buyer. They are a car/toy buyer.

Oh and the title should be "Help PUT.com build a Titan because Nissan sure can't!"
