Ferrari SUV reportedly has codename F151, concept coming in 2010
Leave it up to the blokes at AutoExpress to bring details about the rumored, and oft denied, Cayenne competitor from Ferrari. The Brit pub supposedly has the inside scoop on what could be the biggest brand dilution in the history of automobiledom, and it currently goes by the codename F151.
The five-passenger 'ute was rendered by AE's in-house photochoppers, taking plenty of cues from the 612 Scaglietti, from which the Ferrari SUV might be based. Yes, but those are merchandising efforts because, in all honesty, how many of us can afford a Ferarri? A Ferarri Laptop? A Ferarri segway? That's pushing it, but what about a Ferarri bath towel set? THAT we could buy.
Ferarri likely doesn't get their money from their cars so much as their merchandise. Now if they corrupt their CARS, then there is grounds for concern. For example, the NY Yankees make bank, but all that dough isn't from game tickets. Yes, some is, but it's the NY lamp you bought that A-Rod pockets. Changing their lamps doesn't matter much, but when they become a water polo team, well they may lose some support. The same goes for Ferarri. Memorabilia is pretty nonessential to the entusiast. We love it, but our love for the brand surpasses our love for Ferarri Red Sheets. Just keep in mind we love sports car Ferarri, and not CUV Ferarri.

Uh, no. Ferrari gets the vast majority of their money from their cars. They have increased their income from branding, but it's not like it's comparable to the amount they bring in from their cars.
