NBC releases second Knight Rider TV spot

550 horespower, race-tuned suspension, and the little things like nanotech-enhanced camouflage. These are just some of the features you'll find on the new, heavily-Fordified Knight Industries Three Thousand when Knight Rider, the TV movie, airs next month. No word yet as to whether all of KITT's nifty accessories will be supplemented by other nice-to-haves like a good plot, quality acting, and seamless visual effects. We'll find out soon enough. Watch the new TV commercial for yourselves after the jump.

I am disappointed that KITT is going to be of all things a Ford??!! NBC could have and should have kept the relationship with GM. It would have been the most logical choice to use the new Camaro, look how successful it was for Transformers... people fell in love with the Camaro immediatly. Remember how awesome Bumble Bee looked, now imagine the new Camaro in Black, as KITT.
My opinion is NBC missed the boat on this one, or should I say missed the car :) I will still watch every episode though!

I truly pathetic showing which includes the pilot and the new show. Bad acting with an obvious plot. No humor thought they repeatedly try. The girls dress like sluts and are nothing to look at unless you want to throw up!
I'm never gonna watch this piece of crap again!

Looks like they watched the Six-Million-Dollar Man intro over and over before they set the VFX crew loose on that tease.

I sure as hell hope the flashing lights will make that nifty sound when they pulse back and forth.

I don't like the car's voice. William Daniels got the job done! :)

I like it so far.
Seems much more plausible than before. I bet it will be popular, if for no other reason than to watch that gorgeous car chase down the bad guy. This should be huge for Ford as well.

They better use Will Arnett for the part of KITT. Even hearing 'Hello Mike' from him sounded better than whoever said all that stuff on this trailer.

Except that KITT never said "Hello, Mike" it was always "Hello, Michael" in a slightly condescending tone.
They've already messed it up and it's not even on the air yet!

well i still think will arnett should do the voice.

The he says "Hello Mike", because the new driver's name is Mike Tracer, who is the son of Michael Knight. :)

I'm excited about this revival. Not too thrilled about the choice of vehicle. I mean not from today's context anyway. 550bhp is alot of power. But taking into consideration that a lot of the chase scenes will take place in the city, a 500+ horsepower muscle car isn't a very convincing choice. You'd expect to use something more planted and nimble. Then again this is TV. I'm not much of an american car fan, but i love the z06 and I think a corvette would suit the knightrider profile much better. But then again there must have been a lot of business decisions behind it so..

"driver optional"...as you know, bmw already does that and it's no science fiction!

That is very true and this is not scifi either at press conference they used a radio controlled car but the bmw used GPS and cruise control (I been saying this for years, finaly someone got involved and made it happen) to navigate the track.

They better do some ridiculous jumps (and use the same sound effect for each jump?) as in the original !
