The CLS is a work of art (albeit difficult to photograph, apparently), the SL is not that nice but it is a good looking car, and the latest S class brought back the "out of my way, you lesser mortal" attitude that befits a top-of-the-line Mercedes sedan, that was so distinctly lacking in the W220 chassis, and which the W140, W126, and W116 cars did so well.

I'll give you the S-Class and maybe the SL (I'd take a Jag XKR over one in a heartbeat, though). But the CLS? The roofline may look good, but the rear of that car is atrocious. Looks like someone melted the trunk.

The rest of the lineup is a mixed bag. So grab your mind and imagine this same vehicle in black or muted dark metallic grey, and some proportional 17" rims. Then photograph it from a better angle. This way it won't scare off the middle-american businessman, or sensible engineer who would otherwise buy it for the 4cylinder turbodiesel. Think of that thing with the 7speed shifter.
