VIDEO: Lamborghini Reventon
There are some photogenic cars that take your breath away just from the pictures. And there are others that you have to see in the flesh to appreciate. Then there are a few – like the Lamborghini Reventon – that fit both: each picture speaks a thousand words, but seeing it up close yields an even deeper appreciation of its styling. The most extreme of Lamborghinis was created for just that purpose: shock and awe.
Although rumors are circulating that Lamborghini may give the green light for a total production run of 100, currently the company plans to build only twenty examples, which means that most may never have a chance to see one up close and in person. Fortunately Sant'Agata has released this video walk-around to allow the world to take in its latest creation in all of its oblique glory. Follow the jump to see for yourself.

While the "cockpit" instrumentation is cool, the outside of the car (and the engine too!) could've used a lot more work to differentiate it from it's more...pedestrian...sibling. I don't think I've ever been more underwhelmed with a car, especially one this expensive.

I do like the Reventon, I dont think its ugly. But I do think the Murcielago looks way better than the Reventon.

Despite that the front looks like a head of a chicken and the back looks like a kid's face with two black eyes, I still like the appearance more than other cars like the murcielago. Hell if this is as fast as the veyron I'll pick this instead of veyron.

Ugh. I was hoping they would only build the 20 copies so there would be LESS of a chance of me seeing one. I think other posters have summed it up with one word: FUGLY.
What is it with all the supercars being so damn ugly these days? What happened to the good old days of 288 GTOs and LP5000s'es?

It's pimpin, but for the money, you'd think they could've thrown some paint on the mirrors for a more uni-bodied look. (black mirrors reminds me of base model chrysler products..lol)...But if I had that kind of loot, I'd go all out and get the Bugatti...

They're black on purpose. If you take a look, the body's paint has a somewhat matte finish. Besides the glass, the only shiny bits on the car are the black mirrors, black window trim, black wheels, and black rear air diffusers. Shiny black is the new chrome...or something like that.
I personally love the grey/black combo, but to each their own.

I've seen both the Veryon (2006 Monterey) and the Reventon (2007 LA Auto Show) in person. The Veyron looks like a steaming pile compared to the Reventon. No debate necessary.

I can understand that Lamborghini is about exuberance
but even so, I consider the reventon to be a disgrace to the company, and an insult to enthusiasts everywhere.
It looks like something someone with no knowledge of cars put together.

I like Lambos in general, but this one is just way over the top. It looks like they took a Murcielago LP640 and then drove over it with a tractor. This thing looks like it was designed by a bunch of five year olds with overactive imaginations.
