Cadillac already selling CTS Coupe in newspaper

We're not sure how these things happen, but somehow an image of a Cadillac CTS Coupe made its way into a dealer advertisement in the dead-tree edition of the Detroit Free Press. According to the advert, you can pick up a two-year lease on a 2008 CTS Coupe for $366.98/month with $1,885.16 due at signing. Considering that the Cadillac CTS Coupe doesn't exist quite yet, though we expect one to debut at an upcoming auto show, this dealer either made a big mistake or has some serious pull over at the Ren Cen. As for the image of the CTS Coupe, while it does likely come from General Motors, it's difficult to call this a leak. I mean, is it really hard to imagine what the Cadillac CTS Coupe is going to look like? Nevertheless, this may be our first official peek.
BONUS: We found a bunch of new 2008 Cadillact CTS images that show the luxury sedan getting thrashed on the track. View them all in the gallery below, though we especially like the one at right. Thanks for the tip and pic, Ross!

That's what happens when you hire a lazy, non-car-savvy kid to do your ads for you and he just Googles "Cadillac CTS" and pics the first shot, not knowing or caring that it's a rendered speculation of a car that doesn't exist yet.

Tell me about it. At the dealer I work for they put improper cars in the ads all the time. Mostly they use euro spec photos, easy to spot by the wide licence plate and headlamp washers, but recently they added a Mazda 2 (I'm in the US) to a sales brochure. Can't wait to see how many calls they get.

Or maybe like the Truck of the Year, the Tundra, the door handle fell off. But I doubt it.

It doesn't say Coupe anywhere in the ad. I doubt anyone would really notice the improper photo.

exactly .... It does say "coupe" in the ad, and someone either on purpose or by mistake used a pic the got off the web of the coupe. Either way, It is great advertising, because people / auto blog are talking about it.

I'm hoping hard for a CTS coupe because it might lead to a 9-3 coupe.

now that you say that, i hope that that'd happen. i'm going to test drive a 9-3 Aero. I'm so excited...i'm gonna see if he'll show me some preproduction shots of the 9-1 and 9-4, cuz they say that the dealers have had them for a while.

Haha, that reminds me of the time a Winnipeg car dealer used the Bolivian only Blazer pictures in their ads.
The Bolivian Blazers have sqare flared fenders and a different front clip.
The engine is a tiny little four banger too.

Am I the only person in the world who thinks the CTC concepts look ugly?
Granted, I haven't seen any from Detroit, but ugh.

That image is a rendering that came from AutoWeek Magazine, but hopefully it looks like that!
