Yea, that must be a preproduction car. The regular Swift hatchback is not nearly that bad....But yes, the rear end is hideous - this is a car that should have stayed a hatchback.
I guess they do need a saloon car to compete with the Honda City and Ford Ikon and Mitsu Lancer and such (Ok, I haven't been following the Indian car market that much recently, forgive my lack of knowledge of the latest trends there), but they could just make a lower end version of the SX4 sedan (which is already there) to go along with the higher end, Baleno replacing model thats on sale. Put in the 1.4 or 1.6L engine, take out the leather, put on steel wheels, it should be in the same price range as the City...And it isn't hideous like this is.
