I did not notice that, as for my statement regarding reliability, in a recent jd power survey the superb rated 11th overall and the passat 47th (jd power is a satisfaction award not based fully on reliability, in the what car reliability test the previous golf and octavia had faults at the rate of 31 per 100 and 21 per 100, so octavia is more reliable. This is bourne out in our workshop but neither is brilliant. The newer ones I do not see as much off as they still have main dealer warranty, also what car showed the vw's repair bills to be a good bit higher than skodas. The superb I have only had a handfull and have had no problems but the No is to small. I have had a greater amount of passats last model same as current model superb and they can give bother but not the worst car on the road. In Germany allone the ADAC has mor employees as JD power world wide. JD power is based on claimes only, no research to back them up. JD Power is payed by the car industry.. you get from them every result you want..if you pay enough.. including the result you want about other...

The ADAC is the largest Europen car OWNER club with over 16million members open for all brands ... At the ADAC the industry has no impact at all on their test.. their numbers are based on real car brake downs observed over 6 years.
The 2006 statistik is based on 1.9million car brake downs in Europe were the car owner called the "yellow angles" from the ADAC for techical support with their driving workshops.
