Video: Pinks, Romanian style
The greatest use of video is for entertainment and explanation. Nevertheless, when it comes to explanation, there are some videos that you still have to explain. Then there are videos like this, which need no explanation, just a chair and enough room to laugh. And I'll bet you didn't even know there was such a thing as Romanian Pro Street Racing. In case you haven't learned, there is everything on the Internet.
It's Marek vs. Dragos, Lada vs. Dacia, double-decker rear wing vs. the Sears Tower of rear wings, and -- a very slow -- race to the title. If both of the -- heroes? -- weren't Romanian, I swear you'd expect Dragos to look Marek in the eye and mumble, "I must break you." But for my money, forget about winning the other guy's car -- I'll take the groupies.

That's absolutely hilarious !! I actually live in Bucharest, Romania and I can assure you that here you cand find Ferraris parked near Lada's. After all we're living in the Wild, Wild, East. Anyway I bet that the girls were models.

I love the outfits the girls are wearing. Those really aren't uncommon on the streets of Bucharest (during summer). It is so weird in downtown Bucharest, you'll see cars like this all the time. At the same time, I did see a Cayenne Turbo racing an Audi S4 down a narrow street. I remember when a mobster got arrested a couple of years ago. He had a Dacia 1310 and an AMG Mercedes in his garage. He also had a pet lion. You gotta love Romania.

You gotta love Romanian sense of humor. Besides seeing Ladas parked next to Enzos, it's the only place where I saw a SLR and Ferrari 430 BEFORE they were launched....

That was genius. The only thing that would have made it better would be if the owners had done things like wrap their wipers in aluminum foil, put clear blue plastic wrap over the headlights (HID's), and hang old style Christmas lights under the cars, all the while claiming it made the cars goe faster.

I love Romanian girls. I remember I was literally head over heels over this freshman when I was a senior. Man I'm getting nostalgic over the internet. Goddamn she was so beautiful.
