Goodwood racing book wrapped in rubber

Assouline Publishing has created this treat just in time for the most wonderful time of the year. Racing Style pictorially celebrates the Goodwood Revival, which, in turn, is a modern day celebration of the cars that raced at Goodwood during the 40's, 50's, and 60's, with modern drivers dressed in period clothing.
Even though we haven't seen one print inside the book, we love it for the case alone: real rubber, real tread. That's a book for a car lover. The price -- well, not so much: $300. You can get the book without the rubber sleeve for $70 -- but then it's just another racing book, eh? We know somebody somewhere owes us a Christmas gift...
Thanks for the tip, JW!

Why did they use a truck tire and not some sort of sports profile? That doesn't make sense,.

Back in the day that was what a sporty profile looked like...

$230 for a chunk of rubber likely sourced in China?

Tom Brady could learn a thing or two from this book.
Sorry, couldn't resist.
