as a current elise owner, i get 27mpg and would rather have two elises for the same price as one tesla. i know, i know, i'm missing the point of a 100% electric car but i guess i'm of the school of thought that says, if you want an electic commuter, buy one and if you want a sports car, then also have a real sports car (internal combustion with 5/6 gears and exhaust note). i feel like the Tesla is like a Cayanne Turbo; brilliant for what it is but it's a compromise either way.
