MKS, MKR, BLS, BRX...I see the retarded name wagon is still rolling among the domestic manufacturers. Who wants a name that flows well anyway?

I totally agree. It's sad when you have to think about what car model you have. MKS, MKZ, MKX. So confusing. What's wrong with Aviator, Zephyer, etc. Much easier to remeber a name associated with a car model. I sure hope Mullaly sees the logic in that.

The reason they do this is for brand recognition over model recognition. They know you don't know if you have a MKZ, MKS, S&M, or what. You have a "Lincoln" and that's what you'll tell your buddies while you're playing squash. I too lament the days when cars had names and not alphabet soup, but the other "luxury" brands have been doing this for ever. The Acura RL, TSX, MDX, RSX, TL. The Lexus LS, IS, GS. The BMW 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. The Audi.... you get the point =p
