Tractorri Lamborghini Mustang is strong like bull

The SEMA Show in Las Vegas is huge, which is the only explanation we can muster for why we didn't see the Tractorri Lamborghini Mustang there ourselves. Built by John Haugh from Cleveland, OH (w00t!), the car you see is basically a 520-hp mid-engine, all-wheel-drive Lamborghini Gallardo wearing the heavily modified body panels of a Ford Mustang. Out back the rear taillamps of the Gallardo have been incorporated along with a gaping grate through which one can view the Lamborghini hardware. The interior is also mostly Lamborghini, though the door panels obviously come from the Ford.
We know, some of you are asking why anyone would embark on such a project, but why sweat the details when there's a freakin' mid-engine, all-wheel-drive Mustang staring back at you? Just count your lucky stars that there are people out there who will build something like a Mustang-bodied Lamborghini for the rest of us to enjoy. Oh, and we extend an open offer to buy Mr. Haugh a beer at The Winking Lizard in Lakewood so he can show us this insane coupe in person.

WHY?

Personally, it seems like blasphemy to me.
And um, no offense, but a Mustang front end a Mustang does NOT make.
That's like saying those ricers who put red Honda badges have a Type-R or those other ricers who put Lexus badges on their non-Lexi suddenly have a Lexus.

or those ricers that throw a GT-R badge on their Mustang, seen it.
the car is unique, no doubt about it, but it just begs the question, why?

Haha, definitely, reminds me of the "piston rotary" Mustang "type-s" or whatever

What's the problem with slapping a Lexus badge on a Camry?
Same car, last I checked.
paul34 6:34PM (11/12/2007)
Well, Lexus is a division of Toyota but is not Toyota per se.
The Camry is a vehicle of Toyota, but not Lexus. They are not the same ;-).
Why not put a Lincoln badge on a Mustang, its the same thing, right? ;-). No, it isn't.
Also, Lincoln is a division of Ford, like how Cadillac is a division of GM. You can read up about company divisions on wikipedia if you want to learn more.

I once saw a [Nissan] GT-R badge on a mid-90's Civic once.
Sad day indeed.

Ummm... actually... I think what he means is that a Lexus ES is basically a Camry underneath... and that Lexus' share alot of parts. What is known as a Lexus in the US is often badged as a Toyota in Japan. Lexus was only introduced into Japan in the mid-2000's - before then all Lexus' were called Toyota's in japan (Lexus SC was Toyota Soarer, Lexus GS was Toyota Aristo, Lexus IS was Toyota Altezza etc). This is a little different to the whole Ford/Mercury/Lincoln & Caddy/Chevy/Buick thing. Really the US Market Lexus' (up until the current versions released around 2005-06) were just rebadged Japan-market Toyotas.
As for the sarcasm with the "look at Wikipedia for descriptions" - well sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

How could they butcher a Mustang like that? :P

Your kidding right? The just ruined a Lamborghini and your worrying about the Mustang that supplied the parts?

what on earth did that poor gallardo do to deserve this kind of treatment??? i really hope the guy just pulled the mechanicals from a wrecked car rather than trashing a perfectly good one.

The wheels are kind of lame, and who ever designed the rear end should be shot!!
Although the front end is tasteful.. I really don't care what's under the hood. I see cars as applications, built to do a job. Mix and match whatever to get the job done. You got to admit, just saying, "I own a Mustang designed by Lamborghini" is kind of cool.

I hearby challenge the Autoblog "writers" to go 7 full days without mentioning the Ford Mustang.
If you do it, well, the rest of us win by going a week without reading about Mustangs.
If you fail, you must change the name to "Mustangblog 'n Other Stuff (When We Can't Find Mustang Stuff to Post)"

I challenge you to skip reading and commenting on articles about Mustangs. I don't get it. If you're tired of Mustang news, stop reading it. No one makes you read these articles yet you and and all the other people tired of the Mustang read every single article written about it. You can always head over to autoblog green and read about the next gen hybrids. You'll find very little Mustang news there.
